Insights
Editorial standards.
Oregeon Insights exists to explain Malaysian property the way a registered practitioner would explain it to a client — plainly, with sources, and with a name on it. These are the rules every article is held to.
Who writes
Articles are written by Oregeon directors and senior staff, or by the Oregeon Editorial Team. Every byline that names a person shows their job title and their registration number with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEP), and links to their leadership profile.
Who reviews
An article is published under one of three tiers. Expert — written by a Registered Valuer, Registered Estate Agent or Licensed Auctioneer in their own discipline. Reviewed — written by staff and checked by a named registered professional before publication. Editorial — published by the Oregeon Editorial Team with a named reviewer. Fee scales, legal process, tax rates and anything else a reader might act on are always reviewed by a registered professional.
Where the facts come from
Market figures are taken from public sources — NAPIC and JPPH reports, BOVAEP circulars, gazetted Acts and Rules, bank and court notices — and each statistic shows its source. We do not present estimates as measured data, and we do not describe data as Oregeon's own unless it is.
What we do not do
We do not publish sponsored articles, accept payment for coverage, or recommend specific lenders, developers or listings. Articles about auction property explain the process; they do not promote individual lots.
Dates and corrections
Every article shows its publication date and, when materially revised, an updated date. Fee scales and tax rates change — if you find something out of date, email contact@oregeon.com.my and we will review it.
Not advice
Articles are general information for Malaysia. They are not a valuation, legal advice or tax advice for any particular property. For that, talk to a registered professional about your specific asset.
